RELEASE OMNIFLIGHT HELICOPTERS ACQUIRE ATLANTA BASED RESCUE AIR 1 Omniflight Helicopters, a leader in the air medical industry since 1962 announced today that the company has acquired Atlanta based Rescue Air 1. Rescue Air 1, formerly Baptist LifeFlight, has been the leading provider of air medical services to northern Georgia since 1981. Rescue Air 1 currently operates five medical helicopters. "We are delighted to complete this transaction with RA1 as they are the premier air transport provider in Georgia. The quality of their people and equipment is top notch and their commitment to quality service is highly consistent with Omniflight's organization. We look forward to working with the Rescue Air 1 team to bring the nation's Air Medical Transport system to the highest level of safety and quality of care." said Bob Bunker, Chairman of Omniflight Helicopters. Rescue Air 1 owners Ralph McDaniel and Bill Pike will be retained by Omniflight, and hold key positions within the company. McDaniel has over 30 years of experience in medical operations (21 of which involve the helicopter industry) and will serve as the Regional Director for Omniflight's Southeast Region. Pike will assume the role as National Director of Sales and Marketing. "The merger with Omniflight is great for our customers and our employees.
